Mission/Vision
Huntingdon Area Habitat for Humanity envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our mission in seeking to put God’s love into action, is to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope. We put faith into action by helping to build, renovate or preserve homes and by partnering with others to broaden access to affordable housing as a foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty and by creating dignity and hope.
Our success is measured as it promotes positive and lasting social, economic and spiritual change in our community, where our work within the community is based on mutual trust and shared accomplishment and when we demonstrate responsible stewardship of resources.
Huntingdon Area Habitat for Humanity will not proselytize, nor will Habitat for Humanity work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with Habitat for Humanity. This means that we will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must (i) adhere to or convert to a particular faith or (ii) listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
Huntingdon Area Habitat for Humanity is an equal opportunity program and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, ethnicity, family status or national origin.
